You can read every page of this site without giving us your name, email or phone number. This page says what we do collect, the one cookie we set, and what our links pass to Goldco and Augusta.

Who we are

This site is published by Lead Partner ("we", "us"), a company registered in Norway (org. no. 926 580 094). To reach us, email editor@tsptogoldira.com.

The short version

  • We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
  • We set one first-party cookie, which records how you arrived (search engine, another site or directly). It holds no personal information.
  • When you follow a Goldco or Augusta button, the link tells that company which of our pages you came from. It doesn't carry your name or contact details.
  • Forms you fill in on a company's site are governed by that company's privacy policy.
  • The eligibility checker on our pages works entirely in your browser. Your answers aren't sent anywhere.
  • We count page views and partner-button clicks with Vercel Web Analytics. Query strings are cut off first, and a mistyped address is never recorded.

What we collect

Information your browser sends. Like any website, the servers that deliver our pages receive technical details when you load a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. These are used to deliver the site, keep it running and fix errors. Our host is Vercel. Our Vercel plan is Pro with Observability Plus, and for that plan Vercel's documentation gives runtime log retention as 30 days. Our /go/ code doesn't read or store your IP address or browser details.

The channel cookie. On the first page you open, a short script reads the address of the site that sent you and stores one word in a first-party cookie named tspg_ch: organic-bing, organic-google, referral or direct. It is a session cookie, deleted when you close your browser, and it is sent only to this site. When you follow a Goldco or Augusta button, our server reads it and passes that one word on as part of the link labels below. We use it for nothing else.

Analytics. We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics. Vercel also hosts this site, and the counting script comes from tsptogoldira.com itself rather than from another domain. When you press a Goldco or Augusta button, we also log one event named go_click. Besides what Vercel keeps with every data point (below), it carries just two labels of ours: the company, and which part of the page held the button, such as hero or verdict. Neither label says anything about you.

We trim what is sent. Before a page view or a click is passed to Vercel, the script on our page shortens the page address to the page alone: it drops the query string (a "?" and everything after it) and anything after a "#". So we don't record query strings. If you type an address that doesn't exist and see our "page not found" page, we record only that this page was shown, as /404/; we don't record the address you typed. Nothing at all is recorded on the /go/ addresses the buttons pass through. One thing we don't trim: Vercel's script sends the address of the site that referred you as your browser reports it.

Vercel's Web Analytics privacy page lists what may be kept with each data point: when it happened, the page address and the route pattern behind it, the referring address, query parameters after Vercel's filtering (from us there are none), a rough location (Vercel's example is a country, a state and a city), the operating system and the browser, each with its version, whether the device is a mobile, tablet or desktop, and the version of the analytics script. The same page says the service needs no third-party cookies: visitors are told apart by a hash made from the incoming request, and a visitor session is thrown away automatically after 24 hours. Vercel states that page views and events are recorded anonymously, are not tied to any person or IP address, and serve aggregated statistics only.

Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply and keep a record of corrections. We keep them for 12 months, then delete them.

Forms. This site has no form that collects your contact details. Forms you see after clicking through to a company are on that company's site.

What our partner links pass on

Goldco and Augusta buttons go through an address on this site that starts with /go/. That address sends you to the company and adds labels saying that you came from this site, which page and which spot on the page the button was in, how you reached our site (the cookie above), and, for testing, which version of a page you saw. These labels contain no personal information. The companies use them to tell us how many referred readers requested information or bought, so they can pay us; see the affiliate disclosure.

On the company's site its own policy applies: Goldco's privacy policy, and Augusta Precious Metals' privacy policy on augustapreciousmetals.com.

Who we share information with

  • Vercel, which hosts and delivers the site and runs the analytics described above, only as needed to do that.
  • Goldco and Augusta receive the non-personal link labels described above.
  • Authorities, if the law requires it.

Your choices

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser. The site works the same without them; the link labels then say "unknown" for how you arrived.
  • You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, through our contact page. We reply within 3 business days.
  • If you live in a US state with its own privacy law, such as California, you may have further rights under it, including the right to know and delete information. We don't sell personal information.

Children

This site is for adults planning for retirement. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of the page.
